Are there really no transaction fees?
Correct. We don't take a percentage of your sales — ever. You only pay your payment processor (like Stripe or PayPal) their standard processing fees. Our pricing is simple: a flat monthly rate based on the plan you choose.
What happens if I exceed my order limit on Starter?
Your store keeps running. On the Starter plan, we charge $0.10 per order over the 500/month limit. You'll get a notification when you're approaching your limit so you can upgrade to Growth (unlimited orders) if it makes sense. Growth and above have no order limits.
What's included in the Inventory and Manufacturing modules?
Advanced Inventory (Growth+) adds multi-location stock tracking, Kanban cards, suppliers, purchase orders, and low stock alerts. Manufacturing (Pro+) adds Bill of Materials, work orders, SOPs with photo steps, and automatic stock consumption. Both are included in their respective tiers at no extra cost.
Can I upgrade or downgrade anytime?
Yes. Upgrade instantly and we'll prorate the difference. Downgrade at any time and the change takes effect at your next billing cycle. No penalties, no hassle.
What payment processors do you support?
We integrate with Stripe and PayPal out of the box. Pro and above plans can use our API to integrate additional processors.
Is there a free trial?
Yes — 30 days with full access to Pro features. No credit card required to start. Build your store, test everything, then pick the plan that fits.
Do you offer refunds?
We don't offer refunds on paid subscriptions, but you don't need one. Our 14-day free trial gives you full Pro features with no credit card required — plenty of time to build your store and make sure Kaniva is the right fit before you pay anything.
What does "build-to-order" mean?
Build-to-order products let customers configure options before purchasing — like custom sizes, materials, or specifications. You can set lead times and custom terms of purchase that customers must accept at checkout. The order comes to you with their selections and agreed terms, and you build it to their specs. Great for custom fabrication, made-to-order goods, or configurable products.
Can I use my own domain?
All plans and above include custom domain support. Point your domain to Kaniva and we handle the SSL certificate automatically.
What kind of support do you offer?
Starter includes email support. Growth and Pro get priority email. Business adds phone support and a dedicated account rep. Enterprise includes a dedicated support team.
