Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using Kaniva ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.
Description of Service
Kaniva is a multi-tenant e-commerce platform that allows you to create and manage online stores. We provide the tools and infrastructure; you provide the products and manage your business.
Your Account
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password
- You must be at least 18 years old to use this Service
- One person or legal entity may maintain no more than one free account
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
Your Store & Content
You retain ownership of all content you upload to your store. By using Kaniva, you grant us a license to host and display your content as necessary to provide the Service.
You are responsible for:
- All content you upload and products you sell
- Ensuring you have the rights to sell your products
- Complying with all applicable laws and regulations
- Handling customer service and disputes with your buyers
- Collecting and remitting applicable taxes
Prohibited content and activities:
- Illegal products or services
- Counterfeit or stolen goods
- Products that infringe on intellectual property rights
- Adult content without proper age verification
- Weapons, drugs, or regulated substances
- Fraudulent or misleading products
- Content that promotes hate or violence
Pricing & Payments
Our Pricing
- We offer multiple subscription plans with different features and limits
- We charge zero transaction fees - your only platform cost is your subscription
- Prices are displayed on our Pricing page
- We reserve the right to change prices with 30 days notice
Payment Processing
- Payment processing is handled by third parties (Stripe, PayPal)
- You must agree to the payment processor's terms of service
- Payment processor fees are separate from Kaniva subscription fees
- You are responsible for any chargebacks or disputes on your transactions
Cancellation & Refunds
- You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
- We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for first-time paid subscribers
- Refund requests after 14 days are handled on a case-by-case basis
- No refunds for partial months of service
Service Availability
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may:
- Perform scheduled maintenance with reasonable notice
- Make changes to improve or update the Service
- Suspend service for security reasons or terms violations
Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, if:
- You violate these Terms of Service
- You engage in fraudulent activity
- You fail to pay subscription fees
- We receive valid legal requests
Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. You may request your data within 30 days of termination.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kaniva shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.
Our total liability for any claims arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Disclaimer
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free or uninterrupted.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
