Our Story
With over 15 years of manufacturing experience, we've lived the challenges of selling made-to-order products online. Existing shopping carts just didn't get it. They were built for off-the-shelf inventory, not for the complexity of custom manufacturing.
So we built our own. What started as an internal tool to run our production sites became something bigger. We realized other manufacturers, craftspeople, and makers faced the same frustrations we did.

Why "Kaniva"?
Kan- The Roots
From Kanban, the lean visual workflow system (Japanese for "signboard"). A subtle nod that lean practitioners will recognize.
-iva The Spirit
A Latin suffix suggesting life, action, vitality (think "viva"). Modern and approachable, not cold or industrial.
Tongan The Stars
In the Tongan language, Kaniva refers to the Milky Way — a fitting symbol for the vast possibilities ahead.
