This week helped stores sell more to the customers they already have: better suggestions while they shop, and a friendly ask for a review once the parcel arrives.

New this week

Automatic review requests

Turn it on in Settings → Reviews and Kaniva emails each customer a set number of days after delivery (or after purchase, for downloads), asking for a review.

  • The link needs no login, and customers can add photos
  • Reviews at or above a rating you choose can be approved automatically
  • Reviews → Request Log shows every email sent and whether it turned into a review

Smarter shopping

  • Product recommendations based on category, what customers bought and what's popular, with prices and badges on each card
  • Filter products by price with a slider, or by type: physical, digital or build-to-order
  • Lists now open sorted by most popular

Choose your shipping services

Untick any carrier service in Settings → Shipping and checkout stops offering it. A short note under the options explains that delivery times start once the order is handed to the carrier.

Smaller things that add up

  • Phone orders show shipping rates as you build them
  • Contact and call-back forms keep bots out without making customers solve a sum
  • Clear notices in the admin before a free trial ends, with your storefront staying open throughout
  • Shipping emails include tracking, and admin notices reach every address you list
  • Admin page titles show your store's name

What's next

A CRM for customers and deals, a mobile storefront overhaul, address suggestions at checkout and partial shipments.
