A short week aimed at shops that build to order: knowing how much work is already on the bench, and selling in the quantities that make sense.
New this week
Build queue limits
Cap how many of a build-to-order product can be in production at once, for example no more than five bumpers at a time.
- Customers see how full the queue is on the product page, like "3 of 5 build slots filled"
- When it's full, either stop new orders or take them with a longer lead time notice
- Adding the item to the cart holds a slot for a short time, with a countdown on the cart and checkout, so nobody fills in their details and then gets turned away
- Slots free up when an order ships, is cancelled or is refunded
- An optional store-wide limit in Settings → General caps everything in production at once
Minimum order quantity and pack sizes
Products can set a Min Order Qty and a Qty Increment. The quantity picker and cart buttons follow them, and an odd amount is rounded up to the next valid one with a short message.
Smaller things that add up
- The dashboard now leads with Month to Date revenue, with the year to date underneath, plus a Projected Monthly figure and Open Order Value
- Choose whether revenue counts all paid orders or shipped orders only
What's next
Turning paid build-to-order sales into work orders automatically, and bringing back shoppers who leave items in their cart.
